I Love My Credit Union Day

WASHINGTON, PA — On Friday, July 25, CHROME Federal Credit Union (FCU) will be celebrating I Love My Credit Union Day at all three of its branch locations. Every branch will provide free lunch for attendees, including hot dogs grilled by CHROME employees, and a food truck offering sweet treats. 

I Love My Credit Union Day celebrates the positive impact that credit unions have on their community and members nationwide. Credit Unions are more than just a place to transact, extending their impact by offering various free services, low to no fees, money-saving loan products, and free financial wellness guidance and programs. Credit Unions operate in the best interest of their members, the community, and their financial needs. This year, on average, CHROME has saved members an average of $148 per month on auto loans, and $573 per month with Home Equity Loans and Home Equity Line of Credits. I Love My Credit Union Day helps us celebrate our members and engage with the community.

CHROME employees will be grilling hot dogs on site at all branches. The Racetrack Road branch will have the very popular, Coolie Skoolie ice cream truck, and the Griffith Ave and Wexford locations will have Kona Ice.

There will be sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and coloring sheets for the kids. Attendees will go home with CHROME sunglasses, piggy banks, and savings tracker worksheets. Local students are encouraged to bring their report cards to cash in on CHROME’s PayDay for A’$ program, earning $2 per A, up to $40 per school year. Students must have an account set up to participate.
